Introduction
Vita3K emulates Sony’s PlayStation Vita handheld. It began on Windows, Linux and macOS, and the Android version is built from the same code. The project calls itself experimental. According to its README it runs most homebrew and commercial games, but it still warns that crashes, glitches and poor performance are expected. The project’s compatibility list on vita3k.org shows the state of each game.
What you need
- A 64-bit phone on Android 9 or later. This build contains native code for
arm64-v8aandx86_64only. - The PS Vita firmware, which Vita3K doesn’t include. The firmware file is downloadable from PlayStation’s official website. A second package with the system fonts is also needed. Both are installed from the emulator’s File → Install Firmware menu.
- Games you own. Vita3K comes with no games, and neither does this site. The project’s quickstart explains how to dump games from your own Vita or PS TV (for example cartridge dumps with GcToolKit, or NoNpDrm and FAGDec dumps). Free homebrew is available from VitaDB.
Getting a game running
- Install the firmware and the font package, as above.
- Install a game from a
.zip,.vpkor.vcifile with File → Install. - In settings, the project recommends leaving system modules on Automatic.
The README also links custom Adreno GPU drivers for Android. These apply to Snapdragon phones and are optional.
About this build
Vita3K doesn’t publish numbered Android releases. The newest Android build sits in a single rolling “continuous” release on GitHub, rebuilt as new code lands. Each time our daily check runs, we take the file that is there, check it against GitHub’s published hash and the recorded signing key, and host it under a new name. That’s why the version number stays the same while the file and its date change.
PlayStation and PS Vita are Sony trademarks. Vita3K is an independent project, not related to or endorsed by Sony.

Common questions
Is this APK the official Vita3K release?
Yes. It is the file from the project’s continuous release on GitHub, byte for byte, and it matches the SHA-256 checksum GitHub publishes for it. It is signed with the certificate we recorded when we first checked Vita3K (SHA-256 eadeff93b5fb0317051111f77d56abbaa0e6716cc847969926aa36dac4beb202); a release signed with a different key would not be published here.
What Android version does Vita3K need?
Android 9 or later (API level 28). Version 0.2.1 is built for Android 15 (target API 35). Needs a 64-bit ARM phone; 32-bit-only devices are not supported.
Can Vita3K access the internet?
Yes. The APK requests Android’s internet permission. In total it declares 12 permissions, and 3 of them need your approval first.

No known trackers: our scan of version 0.2.1 found no code matching the Exodus Privacy tracker signatures. The scan covers known tracker libraries; it doesn’t show what data the app itself sends.
Is Vita3K open source?
Yes. Vita3K is released under the GPL-2.0 licence, and its source code is published at https://github.com/Vita3K/Vita3K.
