Introduction
Bubble Shooter is a small open-source colour-matching game made with Flutter and the Flame engine. Drag to aim, use the guide line to judge a direct or wall-bounced shot, and release a bubble into the field. A group of three or more matching colours pops; bubbles that are no longer connected to the ceiling fall away.
This page covers F-Droid’s 1.0.1 64-bit ARM build, version code 22. F-Droid also publishes architecture-specific variants with different version codes, so the largest number in its index is not automatically the right APK for an ARM phone. We matched this file to the signed index and checked the fixed V1.0.1 source tag. We did not play it on a physical device.
Campaign and boss rounds
Campaign stages are generated from the level number with a deterministic seed. Replaying the same numbered stage therefore recreates its layout rather than choosing a wholly new random board. As progression rises, the generator changes rows, colour variety and difficulty.
Levels 5, 15, 25 and the corresponding later values are mini-bosses; multiples of 10 are the larger boss rounds rather than being counted as both. The level screen exposes the current level plus the next ten positions and locks later ones until progress opens them. The project does not document a final finite campaign count, so “generated levels” should not be read as a promise of a particular total.
Campaign stages have shot limits generated between 16 and 35. Running out ends an attempt, but it is not the only failure path: bubbles reaching the danger line also end the round, and the ceiling descends after repeated shots that make no match. Wall bounces are part of the aiming model and can reach spaces blocked from a straight line.
Zen mode, skins and local progress
Zen mode uses a random board, does not decrement the stored shot counter and displays an infinity symbol. It can still end when bubbles reach the danger line, so “unlimited shots” is not a promise that the board can never be lost. Campaign progress and settings are saved locally using Hive.
Eight code-defined visual skins change the presentation without downloading an asset pack. Haptic feedback has its own setting. The game bundles its visual logic and does not declare internet access, advertising or in-app billing.
Privacy and compatibility
The measured APK declares only Android’s automatically generated dynamic-receiver permission. It has no internet permission, and our scan found no tracker SDKs. There is no account, online leaderboard or cloud save in this version. Removing the app can remove its private progress unless the operating system restores app data through its own backup mechanism.
F-Droid distributes separate CPU builds. This download contains arm64-v8a native libraries and therefore needs a 64-bit ARM device as well as Android 7.0 or later. A 32-bit ARM or x86-only device needs a compatible variant from the repository rather than this file.
The official screenshots were created for 1.0.0 and remain in the 1.0.1 tag. They do not show 1.0.1’s aiming line or bubble-colour setting, so their captions identify the older interface. They are project material, not a record of our own gameplay.

Common questions
Is this APK the official Bubble Shooter release?
It is F-Droid’s build rather than the developer’s own: F-Droid compiled Bubble Shooter 1.0.1 from the published source code and signed it with its own key. Its SHA-256 matches F-Droid’s signed index. Because the key is F-Droid’s, it won’t install over a copy from Google Play or GitHub without uninstalling first.
What Android version does Bubble Shooter need?
Android 7.0 or later (API level 24). Version 1.0.1 is built for Android 16 (target API 36). Needs a 64-bit ARM phone; 32-bit-only devices are not supported.
Can Bubble Shooter access the internet?
No. The APK doesn’t request Android’s internet permission, so the app can’t go online by itself. In total it declares 1 permission, and none of them needs your approval first.
Does Bubble Shooter contain trackers?
No known trackers: our scan of version 1.0.1 found no code matching the Exodus Privacy tracker signatures. The scan covers known tracker libraries; it doesn’t show what data the app itself sends.
Is Bubble Shooter open source?
Yes. Bubble Shooter is released under the GPL-3.0-only licence, and its source code is published at https://github.com/sidhant947/BubbleShooter.
Is this a mod or an unlocked version of another Bubble Shooter game?
No. Bubble Shooter is a generic game name; this page is for Sidhant’s independent project (GitHub: `sidhant947`) with package `com.sidhant.bubbleshooter`. It is not a modified APK of a commercial game.
How many campaign levels are there?
The source generates a stage deterministically from its level number instead of shipping a small fixed level pack. The interface opens later stages as you progress: levels ending in 5 are mini-bosses and multiples of 10 are bosses. Upstream does not state a final fixed level count, so this page does not invent one.
