Introduction
Ludo by Sidhant is a compact Flutter implementation of the traditional cross-and-circle board game. Everything happens on one device. Before each match, choose how many of the green, yellow, red and blue seats belong to people and how many to the built-in bot.
The match
Each color has four tokens. Roll a six to bring one onto the track, move by the die, and send an opponent back to its yard by landing on it away from a safe square. Tokens must complete the circuit and reach the last home step by an exact roll. The result screen ranks all colors as they finish, not only the winner.
The code implements eight safe track positions. It also handles three consecutive sixes by ending that turn. When only one token can legally move, the game moves it automatically after the roll. The bot first looks for a capture, then a move that reaches home exactly, then a token it can bring out of the yard, and finally the furthest-progressed legal token. It is a simple opponent rather than an online or learning AI.
The settings offer light, dark and system themes, haptic feedback, and one sound switch for menu music and the dice effect. Version 1.0.3 pauses the music during a match, leaving the dice sound. Games are not saved for later, and there is no rules tutorial, chat, ranking server or account.
Offline and local
The measured APK declares only its private dynamic-receiver permission. It has no internet, storage, location or account access, and our scan found no trackers. The GitHub and donation buttons hand their URLs to another installed app; Ludo itself cannot make a network request.
About this file
- This is F-Droid’s build of version 1.0.3, signed with F-Droid’s key. Besides the audio change, 1.0.3 moves the interface text into Flutter’s localisation system, but the fixed source currently supplies English only.
- The 8.6 MB file hosted here runs on Android 7.0 and later and contains only a 64-bit ARM native library, so it will not install on a 32-bit-only phone. An x86 emulator needs ARM64 translation to run it; F-Droid also publishes native x86-64 and separate 32-bit ARM files for version 1.0.3.
- Ludo’s code is published under GPL-3.0-only. The repository bundles
bgm.mp3anddice.mp3without naming their creator, source or a separate asset licence, so the code licence is clearer than the provenance of those two audio files. - The four screenshots were added for version 1.0.0 and show its older 2P/3P/4P and Pass & Play/With Bots setup. Versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 use separate Humans 1–4 and Bots 0–3 controls.

Common questions
Is this APK the official Ludo release?
It is F-Droid’s build rather than the developer’s own: F-Droid compiled Ludo 1.0.3 from the published source code and signed it with its own key. Its SHA-256 matches F-Droid’s signed index. Because the key is F-Droid’s, it won’t install over a copy from Google Play or GitHub without uninstalling first.
What Android version does Ludo need?
Android 7.0 or later (API level 24). Version 1.0.3 is built for Android 16 (target API 36). Needs a 64-bit ARM phone; 32-bit-only devices are not supported.
Can Ludo access the internet?
No. The APK doesn’t request Android’s internet permission, so the app can’t go online by itself. In total it declares 1 permission, and none of them needs your approval first.
Does Ludo contain trackers?
No known trackers: our scan of version 1.0.3 found no code matching the Exodus Privacy tracker signatures. The scan covers known tracker libraries; it doesn’t show what data the app itself sends.
Is Ludo open source?
Its code is. The source code of Ludo is released under the GPL-3.0-only licence and published at https://github.com/sidhant947/Ludo. The repository applies GPL-3.0 to the project but gives no separate source or licence for its bundled background-music and dice-sound files.
Can I play Ludo online with friends?
No. There is no network multiplayer or account. All human players share the same phone or tablet and take turns; bots can occupy the remaining colors.
How many humans and bots can play?
Choose one to four humans and zero to three bots, with two to four total participants. The default is one person against three bots; four humans leaves no bot seat.
Which Ludo rules does it use?
A six moves a token out of its yard, three consecutive sixes lose the turn, captures return opposing tokens to their yards outside eight safe squares, and an exact roll is required to reach home. A six, capture, yard exit or home arrival grants another roll.
Does the game collect data or show ads?
No. This APK has no internet permission, advertising or analytics. It stores only theme, sound and haptic-feedback preferences locally; our static scan found no tracker.
