Idle Fantasy

Idle Fantasy is a free, open-source idle role-playing game made specifically for Android. Pick a gathering, crafting or combat activity, start a timed session and close the app. When the session ends, the game calculates the XP, items and combat outcome from local data. There is no account, server economy or stamina meter pushing the player to return on a payment schedule.

This page covers the developer-signed 1.16.0 APK reproducibly verified by F-Droid. We matched its 11.7 MB file to the signed index and inspected the fixed release source and bundled JSON data. We did not play through its progression or independently balance-test its drop rates.

Skills, dungeons and progression

The version 1.16.0 data and README define 23 skills: five gathering, eight crafting, three support and seven combat skills. Training sessions are based on 60 one-minute frames and normally run for up to an hour. Agility and later bonuses can reduce how long a session takes; “up to an hour” is not a promise that every activity always uses exactly 60 minutes.

Combat covers 37 dungeons, melee, ranged and magic styles, ordinary enemies and raid bosses. Mercenaries can fill up to three party positions for raid fights and their contracts expire at the next local daily reset. An infinite tower raises enemy strength by floor and gives milestone rewards every ten floors.

The fixed data contains 189 long-term quests, plus separate daily, weekly and guild request data. All 23 skills have prestige paths: reaching level 99 can reset a skill to level 1 in exchange for permanent upgrades. There are also guild ranks, player housing, town-building upgrades, prayer blessings, Slayer assignments, pets, hired workers and carnival minigames. Those counts describe this release, not a promise about later versions.

Offline design and notifications

The APK has no internet permission. Game rules, enemies, equipment, quests and other content are packaged locally, while Room/SQLite stores the save on the device. Our scan found no known tracker SDKs, ad libraries or billing capability. There is no cloud account or cross-device sync in this version.

Its six declared permissions cover notifications, boot completion, wake locks, exact alarms and Android’s generated receiver permission. Exact alarms let the game notify near the end of a session; denying notification access does not add network use, but it can make completion reminders less useful. Manufacturer battery restrictions can delay alarms.

Android may back up eligible application data through the operating system. “Local save” means the game itself does not send progress to an Idle Fantasy server; it is not a guarantee that a device-level backup service is disabled. Export or device migration behaviour was not tested here.

CPU types in this build: arm64-v8a (64-bit ARM, almost every phone since 2017); armeabi-v7a (32-bit ARM, older and budget phones); x86 (32-bit Intel, emulators); x86_64 (64-bit Intel, emulators and Chromebooks).

Versions currently kept in the F-Droid repository. We host and check only the newest one.
