Infra Arcana

Infra Arcana is a turn-based horror roguelike inspired by H. P. Lovecraft, B-grade horror films and the game Blood. Martin Törnqvist created the desktop game; this package is Werewolf Camp’s unofficial Android port. Its goal remains descending into the Church of Starry Wisdom to find the Shining Trapezohedron, but surviving long enough to reach it is the real challenge.

This is not an action game with virtual sticks. The world waits while you decide a turn. Position, visibility, noise, ammunition and escape routes matter, and the shock and insanity systems make encounters dangerous even when an enemy does not immediately kill the character.

Characters and play

The six available backgrounds are War Veteran, Occultist, Rogue, Ghoul, Exorcist and Flagellant, with different strengths and ways to approach combat, stealth and supernatural abilities. As a character develops, traits change what they can do. Weapons, spells and consumable resources have to be weighed against the risk of exploring one more room.

The Android port maps the desktop game to a landscape touch screen:

• swipe in one of eight directions to move;
• tap to confirm or select;
• press, hold and drag to look around or pan;
• use Android’s Back action as Escape; and
• open the hamburger menu for actions, the Tome, video, audio, input and gameplay settings, or to quit.

Those controls come from the port’s own README and source. We verified that they are implemented, but did not play the game on a physical phone. A larger landscape screen is likely easier to read; that is a practical inference, not a tested minimum size.

Offline data and saves

The package declares no permissions and has no tracker SDKs. It does not require an account or network connection. On first run, the native port extracts its bundled game assets into the app’s private storage. Save and configuration data also stay in the app’s own internal area rather than a shared folder that other apps can casually browse.

Saving happens at stairs: descending saves automatically, and the stairs prompt also offers Save and quit. Death deletes the save, and the ordinary menu Quit action explicitly deletes it too. Do not use menu Quit when preserving a run matters; reach stairs and choose the save option.

Version 23.0.0.9 is labelled alpha by the port. Its stated change fixes cropped screen edges on some Android versions. Alpha status and the diversity of Android display cut-outs mean that this is not a guarantee for every device.

File origin and licences

The 61.2 MB hosted APK has the same SHA-256 digest as the official infra-arcana-v23.0.0.9.apk GitHub asset. Its developer certificate is also the signing key allowed in F-Droid’s metadata; F-Droid reproducibly checks the developer build instead of replacing it with an unrelated signature. This allows the official developer APK and this mirror to update one another when package and signing requirements match.

The program code is AGPL-3.0 or later, but not every sound is covered by that licence. The included per-file list names Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0, Sampling Plus 1.0, the PMSFX EULA and assets permitted specifically for Infra Arcana; 15 entries say License: ???. Do not extract and republish the audio merely because the code is open source.

About this file

• This is the developer-signed 23.0.0.9 alpha APK, byte-for-byte identical to the port’s official GitHub release and reproducibly verified through F-Droid metadata.
• It needs Android 7.0 or later and includes native code for 32- and 64-bit ARM and 64-bit x86. There is no 32-bit x86 build.
• It declares zero permissions, needs no account and our scan found no trackers.
• We excluded five F-Droid-index screenshots from an internal 23.0.0.12 build made before the first public release; only the title image visibly shows that number.
